Silicone Faux Neon: What Manufacturers Actually Build
Silicone faux-neon is the modern way to get a "neon" look without glass tubes and gas. A flexible silicone diffuser sits over an LED strip, producing a continuous, even glow in curves and scripts that traditional channel letters cannot match easily.
Versus glass neon
Glass neon uses gas-filled tubes; faux neon uses LEDs inside silicone. The LED version draws less power, needs no gas refill, and is far more resistant to impact — which matters for transit and busy interiors. The visual signature (a soft, continuous line) is close enough for most commercial briefs.
Colour and shape
Faux neon follows scripts and curves well, so it is common for logo walls, bar and salon signage, and decorative brand elements. Single-colour and addressable RGB options exist, and letter height is customizable from 1 cm to 300 cm.
Specifying faux neon
Confirm indoor or outdoor use (rating differs), the shape/artwork, and colour. MOQ is 1 and production runs about 10–12 days after confirmation. Artwork can be any format or designed by the manufacturer.
