Requesting a quote for custom illuminated signage works best when the brief is specific. A clear specification lets a manufacturer return an accurate quote and build signs that fit the wall the first time. This checklist covers what to send and why each field matters.

Artwork

Send the logo, script, or wordmark you want built. PEXEO accepts artwork in any file format — vector is helpful but not required. If you do not have a usable file, the factory can design the artwork from your brief. The artwork defines the shapes and proportions the letters are cut to.

Letter height and count

Letter height is customizable from 1 cm to 300 cm. State the height per letter (or the overall sign size) and how many letters or words are in the job. Height drives material usage and price, so it is one of the first things a quote needs.

Installation environment — the part buyers miss

Indoor and outdoor signs need different ingress-protection (IP) ratings, and the correct rating must be confirmed before production. Tell your supplier exactly where the sign will live — storefront, interior wall, recessed, exposed exterior — so the sealing and materials match. Assuming one rating covers both is the most common cause of rework.

Style and material

PEXEO builds seven families: backlit letters, trimless/frameless letters, metal letters, faux neon letters, silicone faux neon, mini acrylic letters, and seamless/no-edge letters. Within a family, note face-lit versus halo and the colour — single-colour or RGB addressable.

Mounting

State the wall type and whether you prefer raceway or remote power mounting. This affects how the letter backs and standoffs are made, and on some facades it affects what is structurally possible.

Quantity and timeline

The minimum order quantity is 1, so a single sign and a volume order are both handled. Production typically runs about 10–12 days after the specification is confirmed; factor shipping on top of that when you set a deadline.
